≈ 450 km · 4.5–5 hours · from SAR 450 per vehicle — private, air-conditioned cars with a fixed fare confirmed before you travel.
After completing Umrah in Makkah, most pilgrims travel on to Madinah to visit Masjid an-Nabawi and pay respects at Jannat al-Baqi. The journey is about 450 km — too long for a shared bus with tired children or elderly parents, and exactly what a private car is made for.
Your driver collects you from your Makkah hotel lobby at the time you choose, and the ride includes rest stops on the way whenever you need them. Travelling via Badr is also possible, turning the transfer into a Ziyarat journey past the historic battlefield — just mention it when you book and the fare will be confirmed on WhatsApp.
Per vehicle, not per person — includes fuel, tolls, driver and luggage help.

| Haramain High-Speed Train | About 2h 20m on the train; roughly 3.5-5 hours door-to-door once station transfers are added | Per person, about SAR 120-315 depending on class - book ahead | Solo travellers and couples travelling light |
| Private taxi (Umrah Driver) | 4.5-5 hours, hotel door to hotel door | SAR 450 per vehicle, not per person | Families, groups, elderly pilgrims and heavy luggage |
| Intercity bus | About 5-7 hours | Per person, about SAR 60-170 - usually the cheapest ticket | A solo traveller on the tightest budget |
A simple rule: count the per-person tickets for everyone travelling, then add a transfer at each end to reach the stations (our station transfers are SAR 150 in Makkah and SAR 150 in Madinah). A family of four pays roughly SAR 680-1,080 for four typical train tickets, before those station transfers - versus SAR 450-550 flat for a private car. For one or two people the train often wins. For a family sharing one car, the taxi is usually less - and you leave from your hotel lobby, stop for prayer and food when you want, and arrive at your Madinah hotel door. Train and bus fares change with season and class, so treat them as guides rather than fixed prices.
Fixed fares start at SAR 450 for a Toyota Camry. Family vehicles (Hyundai Staria, Toyota HiAce) are SAR 550–700, and a luxury GMC Yukon XL is SAR 1,100. The via-Badr option starts at SAR 600.
About 4.5 to 5 hours for the roughly 450 km Haramain route, plus any rest stops you take.
Yes. Rest stops for prayer, food and refreshments are included whenever you ask — and the via-Badr route adds a Ziyarat stop.
Many pilgrims leave after Fajr or after Dhuhr to reach Madinah in daylight. Your driver plans around your hotel checkout and prayer times.
The train is faster on the tracks (about 2 hours 20 minutes) and suits solo travellers, but tickets are per person and you still need transfers to and from both stations. A private taxi takes 4.5-5 hours hotel-to-hotel at one fixed fare per vehicle - from SAR 450 - so for families and groups it often costs less overall and is easier with children, elderly pilgrims and luggage.
