90 km · 1–1.5 hours · fixed fares from SAR 250 per vehicle · pickups 24/7 — private, air-conditioned cars with a fixed fare confirmed before you travel.
Most Umrah journeys begin with the same three questions: which terminal will I land at, how long is the drive to Makkah, and what should the taxi cost? This guide answers all three from the same published facts our booking page uses — about 90 km from King Abdulaziz International Airport to Makkah, usually 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic and checkpoints near Makkah, ending at the door of your Makkah hotel in Ajyad, Ibrahim Al Khalil, Al Shohada, Aziziyah or anywhere else in the city.
Which terminal will you land at? In autumn 2026 Jeddah Airport reorganised its terminals. Seven airlines — Tarco Aviation, Yemenia, SCAT Airlines, Uzbekistan Airways, Daallo Airlines, Somon Air and Sudan Airways — moved from the North Terminal to the Hajj & Umrah Terminal between 1 and 15 October 2026, and Terminal 4 opened for low-cost airlines including Wizz Air, AJet, SalamAir, Fly Jinnah, Nesma Airlines, Akasa Air, SyrianAir, Pegasus, Azerbaijan Airlines and Tunisair. A ticket booked earlier may still show the old terminal, so confirm with your airline — and send your airline and flight number on WhatsApp when you book, so your driver meets you at the correct terminal.
How the pickup works: before you fly, your fixed fare is confirmed on WhatsApp and you send your airline and flight number. When you land, your driver is already waiting at arrivals with a name board — no searching for a taxi outside with your luggage. If your flight is delayed, the pickup adjusts to your actual landing at no extra charge for reasonable delays. The drive is in a private, air-conditioned car with help for your luggage, and the fare includes fuel, tolls and the driver. At your hotel door you pay after the ride — cash (SAR) or card, never in advance for standard bookings.
Before you land, it helps to have four things ready: your airline and flight number to send on WhatsApp; your Makkah hotel name and area, so the driver drops you at the right door; your terminal confirmed with your airline if your ticket was booked before October 2026; and your passenger and bag count, so the right vehicle comes — Camry for 4, Staria for 7, HiAce for 11. Then book the transfer itself on our Jeddah Airport to Makkah taxi page, or on WhatsApp at +966 53 280 0279.
